California College of Music, Pasadena, CA, 42 S Catalina CCM is seconds away from historic Old Town Pasadena

California College of Music is located in a newly renovated 5,650 square foot conservatory style facility at 42 South Catalina Avenue, in the heart of Pasadena, California, near the corner of Lake Avenue and Colorado Boulevard. Pasadena is just minutes from the music industry's center in Hollywood and Burbank. We are conveniently situated near the 210, 134, and 110 freeways, as well as the Gold Line Metro Rail, with access to all major destinations in Los Angeles.

CCM has chosen a location that is close to the music industry, but is also in an area that is highly desirable for a superior living standard. We feel that Pasadena's first-class characteristics and location make it an ideal location for students to study music. Pasadena prides itself as not only a beautiful place to live, but has a large population of culturally minded individuals, and hosts many artistic events of all types throughout the year, including Pasadena ArtNight twice a year and the world famous Rose Parade on New Year's Day.

With a city college and a world renowned university, the California Institute of Technology, only a few blocks from the CCM campus, the students have an opportunity to integrate with many other students on a high academic level from around the world.

Private rooms for practice and music lessons

The CCM facility offers spacious, well-lit classrooms, practice rooms, and a professionally outfitted recording studio for the use of students and instructors.

Piano Studio:
A spacious, well-lit studio space for classes and large ensembles requiring a grand piano.

Music Ensemble Rooms I and II:
Two large, fully outfitted rooms for music ensembles, rehearsals, lectures and classes.

Live Room:
A dedicated recording studio connected to the Control Room. Used for recording, lectures, events, classes and rehearsals.

Control Room:
A master, state-of-the-art control center for recording that is connected to the Live Room, Midi Room and PC Room for isolated recording capability.

Apple Authorized Training Center (AATCE) and Music Technology Lab:
A state-of-the-art- computer lab where the Apple Authorized Training Classes are held, as well as computer-based Music Technology Classes. (Opening August of 2009).

Classroom:
A pleasant classroom for group lectures, history, theory, sight reading and sight singing classes.

MIDI Studio:
This studio is used for the advancement of MIDI studies and Music Production classes.

PC Studio:
A studio dedicated to Windows based music production programs.

Practice Rooms:
Several rooms for practice and private lessons.

Parking

Parking available for students

There is permanent monthly parking available within one block of the CCM Facility and ½ hour temporary parking on-site in the CCM parking lot.

Housing

CCM offers a comprehensive housing placement service to assist our students in finding local homestay arrangements or student apartments not far from CCM. Please contact your advisor to utilize this service.
