For over 40 years, Reggie Dozier has been working as a professional recording and mixing engineer in the music industry. His innovative production techniques have has left an indelible mark on the way jazz, R&B, and hip hop are recorded. The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences has given Mr. Dozier honors on 7 Grammy-winning albums and 9 Grammy-nominated projects. Dozier's work on Outkast's 2003 double album Speakerboxx/The Love Below earned him a Grammy for Outstanding Mixing and Engineering.
During his long tenure in the recording industry, Dozier has worked with such notable acts as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, B.B. King, Aretha Franklin, Phil Collins, Kenny Rogers, Miles Davis, Patti LaBelle, Brian McKnight, Diana Ross, Jamiroquai, Joss Stone, Justin Timberlake, Outkast, and Mary J. Blige, to name just a few.
As a recording studio architect and designer, Dozier has led the construction of more than 10 state-of-the-art studios, including Hollywood 's Ameraycan Studios. This studio has been used by the best in the industry: Aerosmith, the Black Eyed Peas, Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliot, Nelly Furtado, and more.
After having a profound impact on the music industry for more than four decades, Mr. Dozier has accepted a new role as Director of Engineering and Production at the California College of Music. Here at CCM, he passes his extensive knowledge to an aspiring young generation of engineers and producers.
