Bio


Quentin Dennard was born in Detroit, Michigan. He started his career in the late 1960's as session drummer for Motown, and has worked with a wide range of artists since then. He has performed with a large number of music legends such as Aretha Franklin, Roy Ayers, Dionne Warwick, B.B. King, Issac Hayes, Lamont Dozier, Jermaine Jackson, The Originals, Billy Mitchell, and "Keb" Mo and The Temptations.

Dennard was able to perform on the Ms. California Pageant, on the world renowned play, "Jelly's Last Jam" as well as with the Fullerton Opera's cast of "Ain't Misbehavin" at the Lincoln Theatre. Dennard is a very talented drummer who has an extensive music background. He is a writer and producer with a knowledgeable understanding of all styles of music, which demonstrates his years of professionalism and dedication.

Teaching Philosophy


Quentin takes a relaxed approach when it comes to teaching. He likes exposing his students to all styles of drumming. He teaches them to feel each type of style so when they are called into a studio or recording they are not only ready to drum to any style, but excel at it. With his extensive background, he is able to bring his experiences to the table and motivate his students to strive to become better.
