Julia Jordan is a singer/songwriter who specializes in teaching voice and performance technique to young kids. Her first performing experiences came at age 9 in New York City when she was accepted to perform as part of a children's theater group, and continued with the professional ensemble through high school. Julia then went on to study classical voice, theory, composition, and jazz performance at the High School for Performing Arts in Manhattan -- the same school featured in the hit movie musical Fame .
The daughter of guitar great Stanley Jordan, Julia has performed on tour with her father, giving concerts at legendary jazz venues and festivals. Shortly after completing her bachelor's degree in anthropology and music, she moved to Los Angeles and released Urban Legacy, her first independent album of original music. Julia is currently performing around the country and teaching at CCM.
