Lorenzo Grassi received his formal music education at Italy 's Scuola di musica popolare di Testaccio, the Los Angeles Music Academy , and in summer school at Berklee College of Music in Boston . Lorenzo has studied privately with Jeff Richman, Frank Gambale, Bill Fowler, Tony Inzalaco, Arthur Renshaw, and Bobby Rodriguez in jazz, Latin and fusion styles. He has over 15 years of playing experience as well as 5 years of teaching experience.

Lorenzo has performed and recorded with artists such as Zoo Drive , Preston , Grayson Wray. Bobby Rodriguez , Mike Shapiro, Tony Dumas, and Jessica James, as well as with his own groups, the Lorenzo Grassi Jazz Trio and Shapes of Sound -- a group that blurs the line between instrumental and electronic music. Lorenzo is an active musician in both Los Angeles and Italy , where he continues to work with Area Successiva, Aye' Aye', and Narval Music Productions. He has toured internationally, including a Costa Rican tour in 2001.
