On Wednesday, May 20, students from the audio engineering department had the opportunity to visit the world renowned Capitol Records on Hollywood Boulevard. CCM's Audio Engineering and Music Department Chair, Reggie Dozier was in the studio mixing for legendary blues guitarist, Roy Gaines. Students were able to shadow their mentor and network with Capitol's executive producers.
Bruce Monical, head equipment engineer at Capitol, gave students a personal tour of the three main studios and mastering room.

Marco Salmaso, a first-year audio engineering student said, "The most impressive aspect at Capitol was the equipment used to record and mix. I definitely would love to work there in the future." |
