Ya Boy's DJ Diggin'um teaches
CCM students how to "run L.A."

L.A.'s hottest avant-guardist, DJ Diggin'um, comes to California College of Music to introduce the latest styles and beats to the classroom. Diggin'um is best known as Ya Boy's ("We Run L.A.") personal disk jockey. In addition, he regularly collaborates with Interscope Records and IGA Rap Department during their premiere release parties. He can also be heard on the record of Snoop Dogg's upcoming rap group, The Hustle Boyz.
This fall Diggin'um will conduct weekly 2-hour courses on the Basics of DJ Turntable Technology. Students can expect to learn the fundamentals of scratching, beat making and using the turntable as an instrument to rock the party!
Diggin'um knows how cutthroat mixing in the DJ world can be. This course will provide students of all levels with the right tools to create a name for themselves.
"Teaching puts me in the mind-set of where I was when I first started," says Diggin'um. His goal is to provide students with the direction he wish he had in the beginning.
